Canary Wood Garlic Keeper

Today, I've got another project that most people might not know what it is. This is a basic lidded box with several holes to allow air to circulate and keep the garlic fresh.

We had a ceramic garlic keeper (most you see are ceramic), but it recently cracked. I had a couple of canary wood cutoffs that I thought would look nice in the kitchen beside the bubinga salt cellar that I recently turned. Due to not having the right sized chuck jaws, I had to change directions and reuse the ceramic lid. While it wasn't what I originally had in mind, I think it turned out nicely. This was a great project and I learned a lot doing it. I hope you enjoy it also.
