Crosscut Sled

Are you tired of not having accurate crosscuts? If you were like me, I used the small crosscut guide that came with my table saw. It was difficult to keep a long piece tight against the guide to get an accurate cut. It was time to upgrade to something better.

Today's project is all about making my life easier! I looked at quite a few different sleds and finally settled in on a design by King's Fine Woodworking. What I liked about it was the interchangeable zero clearance plates, the hold down t-tracks, and the saw stop for making repeatable cuts.

The build didn't go without at least one hiccup. The miter bar moved as I was laying the sled on it. That activator did it's job and locked it in. The only problem was the miter bar was slicing out an inch. All I could do was laugh it off. All in all, I'm very happy with how it came out and I look forward to using it in future projects.
