Pull Tabs, Resin & Aspen Bowl

Earlier this year, I saw Ken over at @Moonpie Creations make a vase out of pull tabs (here). I've been drinking these Bubly sparkling waters (not sponsored) and they have colorful pull tabs with various ways of saying hello on them. I thought the pull tabs with some clear resin would make an awesome rim to a bowl. I needed a light colored wood and I really like turning this Aspen. So I had my pull tabs, @Alumilite Mold Making & Casting Materials resin, an Aspen log, and a cool idea. Things don't always go according to plan and that's what happened to me. Don't get me wrong, I still love this little bowl, but I need to find a better way to get the pull tabs to stick up straight, in the middle of the resin. Please take a minute to comment on how you would accomplish that. I really want to make another one and have it turn out better.

Please leave a comment if there are any questions you have or if you feel like I missed explaining a step.

Ephesians 2:8 (NIV)

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—
