Maple, Padauk, & Walnut Bowl

Today's woodturning project is a laminated bowl made up of maple, padauk, and walnut. This bowl was a lot of fun to make and there were a bunch of steps in making it. This is a pretty long video, but I wanted to capture all of the steps. While there are a bunch of steps, this is still a project that you can be easily done with a beginner skillset. The maple was a piece left over from the snowman project we did late last year. Always keep the scraps and the shavings. You can reuse them in future projects. I bagged up the shaving and I'm planning on mixing them in resin and see what kind of bowl I can make out of them.

Woodturning a bowl is one of the best woodturning projects to get started woodturning with. It requires only limited tools to get started and you can easily turn a piece of wood destined for the fireplace or glued up pieces of wood into a beautiful and functional bowl.
